Gannon University has announced a number of accomplishments by its faculty and staff.
Linda M. Fleming, associate professor and chairwoman of the psychology, has been named the university's interim provost and vice president for academic affairs.
Fleming has served as a member of the Gannon University faculty since 2000.
Gannon's current provost and vice president for academic affairs, Keith Taylor, will begin serving as the University's seventh president on July 1.
A paper co-authored by Weifeng Xu, assistant professor of software engineering; Stephen Frezza, associate professor, software engineering; and Wookwon Lee, associate professor of electrical and computer engineering, was honored with a certificate of merit at the recent World Congress on Engineering and Computer Science. William R. Betz, M. D. chief executive of National Health Information Services in Erie, also was a co-author.
Charles A. Bennett, assistant professor of finance, collaborated on a new college-level textbook, "Intermediate Macro," written by Robert J. Barro.
